IPL and RF treatment permanently removes hair from all parts of the body including the face, legs, arms, underarms, back, chest, nipples and bikini line.

Unwanted hair can be removed permanently, leaving you with smooth hairless skin.

Unlike many other machines, all skin and hair colours can be treated, from very light to very dark. If you have previously been told that laser hair removal is not for you this may be the answer.

There are three phases of the hair growth cycle: growth, regression and resting. Intense pulse light acts by destroying the hair follicles that are in the active growth phase at the time of treatment. Further treatments are necessary to destroy the hair that is not in the active phase. Between 4 and 6 treatments are usually necessary and are spaced in 6 week intervals.

Hair removal causes a mild stinging sensation. However, this is kept to a minimum due to the unique cooling device on the IPL handle, which cools the skin to minus 5 degrees. Immediately following the treatment the area may appear a little red or swollen.

About 7 days after your treatment hair will start to fall out. Strangely, this looks like regrowth as hairs pop out from the skin before shedding. Between treatments hair may be shaved, but not plucked or waxed. It is also important to wear an SPF 30+ sunscreen, as skin will be sensitive to the sun.
